Liaquat Ali Khan (1896-1951)
EARLY LIFE
The great Liaquat Ali khan was born on 1st October 1896 in Nausharwan family. And he was born at Uttar Pradesh in British India in wealthy family. And died On October 16, 1951 Liaquat Ali Khan was shot twice in chest during a public meeting and that time the Muslim League in company Bagh Rawalpindi.
And also referred to in Pakistan as Quaid-e-Millat (Leader of the Nation') or
Shaheed-e-Millat (Martyr of the Nation').
Muhammad liaquat Ali Khan belongs to a wealthy family of East Punjab. His mother provide the lessons in Quran and Ahadith at home. And his family had lots of respect for Sir Syed Ahmad khan and then he was admitted in Aligarah Muslim University. For higher education he was graduated from M.A.O collage Aligarah in 1918. After the death of his father in 1919 he was awarded a scholarship by British government. And again in 1921 he was awarded the LLM in law and justice. After his return to India in 1923 he decided to enter politics.
He was a democratic political who promoted parliamentarism in all British India.
After first invited to the Indian National Congress, he later join the All-India Muslim League led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
POLITICAL ACTIVISM
After completing education Ali Khan returned to his homeland India in 1923, entering in national politics.
Than Therefore, Ali Khan refused, informing the Congress Party about his
decision. And joining the Muslim League in 1923 instead of it led under another lawyer
Muhammad Ali Jinna.
The congress Leadership reached him and he attended a meeting with
Jawaher Lal Nehru in 1923. After the meeting Liaquat Ali khan fixed the United
India was changed.
After it Muhammad liaquat Ali Khan took active part in legislative affairs . When Muhammad Ali
Jinnah returned to India and he started reorganizing the AIML. Liaquat Ali khan was
elected as the honorary secretary of the AIML in April 26‚1936.
PAKISTAN MOVEMENT
When Muhammad Ali Jinnah returned to the India, he started to reorganise the Muslim League party. In 1936, the annual session of the League met in Bombay also called (now Mumbai).
Liaquat Ali Khan had to deal and face number of difficulties during pakistan in its early
days. Liaqut helped Quaid in solving the rights and refugee problems to benefit him.
In the start open session on 12 April 1936, Jinnah moved a resolution proposing Khan as the
Honorary General Secretary.
The great and important view point for Pakistan the Pakistan Resolution was adopted in 1940 at the Lahore session of the Muslim
League. After passing Pakistan resolution The same year elections were held for the main seat known as central legislative assembly.
And after it in 1945–46, mass elections were held in India and liaquat Ali Khan won the Central Legislature
election from the Meerut Constituency in the United Provinces. And he was also elected
Chairman of the League's Central Parliamentary Board.
PRIME MINISTER OF PAKISTAN (1947-1951)
After independence, Khan was appointed as the first Prime Minister of Pakistan by the
founding fathers of Pakistan. Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The country was suffering from initial problems and beginning of the extensive several competition between the two world superpowers, known as the United States and Soviet Union.
The government of liaquat Ali Khan faced serious challenges including the dispute over Kashmir with India for long time, forcing Khan to approach his counterpart the Prime Minister of India at that time jawaharlal Nehru.
Other problem like constitution problem, health, education roti makan for muhajerin.
As Prime Minister Ali Khan took steps to develop educational infrastructure, science
and technology in the country.
Khan's government authorised and also recognized the establishment of the Sindh University.
During the first days he adopted
the Government act of India 1935 to run the country because there is no constitution and then the administer the country finally in 1949
Pakistan made first step towards making constitution and foreign policy. Liaquat
Ali Khan presented the objective resolution which was passed on March 12, 1949. He also established the basic principle committee for the issue minority partitioning Liaquat/Nero fact reduced the tension between India and Pakistan.
ASSASSINATION
The black day for Pakistan On October 16, 1951 Liaquat Ali Khan was shot twice in chest during a public meeting of the Muslim League at company Bagh Rawalpindi. The police immediately shot the assassin, Saad Akbar Babrak.
