EARLY LIFE
Muhammad Rafiq born on November 1929 and died on 7 March 2022.
He speaking Punjabi and Urdu very well.
Rafiq was born in Mandi Bahauddin village British india and influenced by Syed Ata Ullah Shah Bukhari and took part in politics as first in Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam during British rule. During collage time he is the active supporter of All India Muslims league and also Muhammad Ali Jinna. Rafiq got graduated in B.A islamyath from Islamia collage Gujranwala in 1949.
and get his higher education from university of Punjab and done LLB from it in 1951.
Before starting practice as lawyer in Lahore high court he is jurist in 1966.
After it Rafiq served as justice in Pakistan highest court.
After retirement from it he join the politics and become adviser of Nawaz Sharif.
He was Pakistani politician's and served as the (9th) president of Pakistan from 1 January 1998 up to 20 Jun 2001.
And also served as the Senate of Punjab in 1997.
POLITICAL ACTIVISM
Rafiq firstly served as lawyers and after completing education from university of Punjab LLB in 1951 he join the Lahore high court and start practice in Lahore high court.
Rafiq established the Gujranwala-based legal aid firm in 1960.
After participating in competitive Exam to be elevated as judge in Distract court.
And after it he become Chireman of Punjab labour court in 1971.
Rafiq appointed as judge at Lahore high court in October 1974.
He also member of election commission of Pakistan.
He served 28th Chief Justice of Lahore High Court from 1989 up to 1991until his appointed judge in supreme court of Pakistan.
Rafiq served senior justice of supreme court of Pakistan from 1991 up to 1994.
After it he retired from it in 1994 at age of 65 and join Pakistan politics in PML(N) party.
PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN
Muhammad Rafiq tarar was 9th president of Pakistan from 1 January 1998 up to 20 June 2001 by getting 374 seats out of 457 in indirect election which is held on 31 December 1997.
And that time the Prime Minister is Nawaz Sharif in(1998–1999).
And Chief Executive Pervez Musharraf
In (1999–2001) at that time when Rafiq become 9th president of Pakistan.
Rafiq Preceded by Wasim Sajjad And Succeeded by Pervez Musharraf.
Muhammad Rafiq tarar sign the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth
amendments of the Constitution of Pakistan and rafiq want that limited the powers of his presidency.
MEMBER OF THE SENATE OF PAKISTAN
Muhammad Rafiq tarar is also served the member of the Senate of Pakistan from
1997 upto 1998.
And Succeeded by Rafique Rajwana for this post.
SENIOR CHIEF JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN
Rafiq appointed the senior chief justice of supreme court of Pakistan from 17 January 1991 upto 1 November 1994.
And Nominated by Benazir Bhutto and Appointed by Ghulam Ishaq Khan.
CHIEF JUSTICE OF LAHORE HIGH COURT
Muhammad Rafiq tarar served as the chief justice of Lahore high court from 6 March 1989 up to 31 October 1991.
Rafiq Appointed by Tikka Khan and Preceded by Abdul Shakurul Salam And Succeeded by Mian Mahboob Ahmad at that time.
DEATH OF RAFIQ
Muhammad Rafiq tarar died on 7 March 2022 (aged 92) In Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
Rafiq suffered from long illness and died in Lahore.
