●EARLY life:



sir Syed Ahmad khan was born on

17 October 1817 Delhi Mughal India and Died27 March 1898 (aged 80)    Aligarh,NWP,British India.

One of the important person for Muslims reformer and educational institutions.

Also called him father of two nation because he clearly explain the two ideas.

Two-nation theory, Muslim adoption of Western ideas.



He studied Quran and science in court. And awarded LLD from university of Edinburgh in 1889. And also awarded with star of india.

The Mohammadan Commentary on the Holy Quran (Tafsir on QURAN).



●Institutions:



East India Company

Indian Judicial Branch

Aligarh Muslim University

Punjab University

Government College University.



●Main interest:



 Pragmatism, Metaphysics, language, aesthetics, Christianity and Islam.





In 1838 Syed Ahmad khan entered to East Indian company as judge.

After that Syed Ahmad khan wanted to adopt the western style for succession of Muslims community so in 1859 Syed established the Gulshan school at muradabad.

In 1862 he found Victoria school in Ghazipur.

He found translation society in Gazipur in 1863 to translate many major works in field of science and modern Acknowledge arts to Urdu.

Latter on this society transfers to Aligarh and named it scientific society.

This society introduced the Aligarh Institut and Muhammedan school.

In 1875 Syed Ahmad khan and samiullah introduced the Muhammedan Anglo oriental

Collage.

Latter on in 1899 it change to university.



●Aligarh movements:



The movements started by sir sayed Ahmad khan to adopt the western modren system,style,scientific education for Muslims population for British rule.



●The Aligarh movements is started by sir sayed Ahmad khan in (1817 - 1898 ) for social and educational advancement in the Muslims. For this purposes he want educationally society and culture to prove that the Muslims of sub continat that Muslims were loyal to British rule.

He want modernization in Muslims educationally societically culturally and intellectualy.



●What are main point of Aligarh movements:



The main role of Aligarh movements is to encourage the Muslims with British education and modern Acknowledge and the English language.

Because sayed Ahmad khan want to build trust among government and Muslims.



●Political work:



Syed Ahmad khan have an active role in politics during era of sub continat and he wrote different articles such as Asbab-e-Baghawat-e-Hind means those Hindu which become the cause of Indian revolt,Loyal Muhmmedan of India, and review on Dr Hunter Indian Muslimans, and work for Muslims community and British.



●Two nation theory:



SyedAhmad khan was one of first person who talked about the two major nation in sub continat that Muslims are completely different from Hindu community by creed religion culture society language etc.

So that why there must be separate homeland for Muslims community.

In speech of Meerut in 1866 explain the two nations theory.

This view point is due to Urdu Hindi controversy that Syed Ahmad khan talked about two nation theory.
